XXL SIDEWALK DECALS IMPRESS IN INDIANAPOLIS

GoGORILLA Media took on the task to advertise Wheeler MIssion’s 125th Anniversary as well as the expansion of the Center for Women and Children. These life-sized sidewalk decals stopped people in their tracks, disrupting the usual morning walk to work, afternoon errand run, or routine evening stroll, to call attention to the dire circumstances of homeless women and children sleeping on the streets. Not only did the guerrilla placements garner the attention of passersby, but also the interest of local news outlets like the IndyStar News and even NPR, creating an estimated 8 to 10 million impressions. All in all, the goal was to raise $1.25 million in 125 days, but with the help of these guerrilla tactics, the result was $2.3 million raised in that time frame, and the effort reached $4.2 million 6 months later. In addition, the overall campaign won an Association of National Advertisers 2020 ECHO Award in Silver for Best Integrated Campaign as well as Bronze in the Not-For-Profit category.
